Wright Light in Wingspread’s Great Room

I was shooting pictures in the Great Room at Wingspread last week. Underexposing significantly emphasizes the morning light coming in the three rows of clerestory windows.

  1. I’ve never been a fan of that space (or the house in general). It doesn’t seem like a *livable* space. In fact, more like the grand living spaces in Victorian homes that Wright often railed against for not being scaled to human beings. Grandomania, he called it.
